BOURNEMOUTH  NATIONAL TRUST  VOLUNTEERS
A volunteer support group to the National Trust
WHO  ARE  WE ?
We are a group of people who enjoy  a day in the countryside assisting with practical conservation work under the guidance of a Warden. We meet at various National Trust Properties in Dorset, usually on a Sunday. We also help with stewarding at a number of social events at Kingston Lacy  and Corfe Castle. Some members enjoy  going to more distant properties such as Stourhead, Golden Cap and even as far as Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire. Sometimes we are invited to join with other groups in various parts of the country. We stay in well equipped base camps.
We also meet for more frivolous events such as pub meals, croquet, skittles and picnics. We have even been known to go to the dogs!
We are of mixed ages and from different walks of life. Anyone who is reasonably fit and 16 or above is welcome to become a member.
No particular skills are required.

UNDER 16 YEARS?
We welcome young people under the age of 16 at suitable Work Parties if they are working on a conservation project and are accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. This is the decision of the Task Leader and the Warden.

COMPLETED 50 HOURS IN A YEAR?
We receive a volunteer card that gives us free access to National Trust Properties.
